The hosts of the Alpine Hotel Ciasa Lara introduce themselves

Hospitality, passion, and a sense of tradition

The hosts of the Alpine Hotel Ciasa Lara, Mr and Mrs Craffonara, have been welcoming guests from all over the world to their hotel in Alta Badia for more than four decades. In 1969, the two began with a small and charming bed and breakfast. Every year, improvements were made, the biggest in 1980, and in 1990 the bed and breakfast became a hotel. The last renovation in 2007 made the Ciasa Lara a cosy design hotel in South Tyrol, where guests appreciate not only the stylish rooms and suites but also the friendly service. That’s because Mr and Mrs Craffonara are hoteliers with heart and soul, who like to personally take care of the well-being of their guests. When Mr Craffonara has the time, he enjoys walking with his guests through the meadows of Armentara and to the hotel's own l'Ciamns hut, where he serves them a hearty South Tyrolean snack called “Marende”,which typically consists of Speck (cured ham) and Schüttelbrot (flat bread).
