Holiday in the Dolomites

A holiday in the heart of the Dolomites close to nature

A holiday in the Dolomites – that is pure nature; the journey to our hotel in Alta Badia already exemplifies this. Gently rolling Alpine pastures and dense forests spread out at the foot of unusual rock formations and spectacular peaks.

The Alpine Hotel Ciasa Lara in Alta Badia is ideally located for a varied holiday in the Dolomites in South Tyrol, situated between two nature parks. To the west is the Puez-Odle Nature Park, which offers ideal conditions for a hiking holiday in the Dolomites with famous peaks such as Piz de Puez, Sassongher, Stevia, Sass Rigais, Sass de Putia, and Odles d'Eores. To the east of our hotel is the Fanes-Senes-Braies Nature Park. It fascinates with Lake Braies, the extensive Alpine pastures (Fanes, Senes, and Prato Piazza), and naturally tempting peaks such as the Croda Rossa di Sesto/Hohe Gaisl.

A holiday in the spectacular Dolomites

This unique landscape is perfect for a relaxing holiday. The Dolomites, perhaps the most famous mountain range in the southern limestone Alps, were formed more than 200 million years ago. In fact, millions of years ago, there once was a tropical ocean where you are now on holiday in the Dolomites. The pressure of the African plate against the European plate formed a mountain range, which now fascinates visitors from all over the world with its beauty: your holiday resort, the Dolomites. Due to its unique landscape and geology, the Dolomites have been a UNESCO World Heritage site since 2009.
